Historique :	Ces deux statues présentent des caractéristiques semblables et des dimensions qui laissent supposer qu’elles ont été réalisées par le même sculpteur. La qualité du travail s’apprécie à travers la réalisation des plis gironnés, le rendu de l’effet de matière et la représentation de petits détails qui accentuent le réalisme de la figuration. Les formes de vêtements témoignent de la mode de la fin du XVe siècle (notamment les souliers à pieds d’ours répandus à partir des années 1480 en remplacement des poulaines), ce qui donne un indice de datation.

Matériaux :	bois : taillé, peint (polychrome)
Précision sur_l'état :	La statue de la Vierge présente des traces d’infestation qui ont été décrites comme actives en 2011 au moment de l’inventaire réalisé par l’agence De Crock mais qui, en 2023, ne présentait pas de signes actifs. La statue de Saint Jean présente un état de conservation beaucoup plus dégradé par une longue période d'infestation, notamment au niveau du visage, du torse et des mains.
