Historique :	Chemin de croix exécuté par l’artiste faïencier Maurice-Paul Chevallier (1892-1987), à la demande des abbés Rochart, curé d’Avançon, et Fauvet, curé de Nanteuil-sur-Aisne. Maurice-Paul Chevallier est le neveu de Raymond Chevallier, lui-même artiste. Il reprend la direction artistique des Faïenceries et Emaux de Longwy en 1931 et crée des vases boules tel le "Boule coloniale", primé à l'Exposition Coloniale de 1931 ou le "Vase boule Atlas". Il réalise un autre chemin de croix pour la commune de Crusne, en Meurthe-et-Moselle. Celui-ci n’est pas protégé mais a été recensé par les services de l’inventaire.
