Historique :	Monument funéraire de Jacques Mestallart, datée de 1641. Selon Albot Numa : Ce sont probablement les ossements de Jacques de Mestallart qui se trouvent dans un caveau construit au pied du maître-autel de l'église de Hierges ; ils avaient été primitivement renfermés dans un cercueil de plomb, qu'on employa, à une époque récente, pour effectuer des réparations à la toiture de l'église ; la plaque de cuivre (...) était, selon toute apparence, fixée sur le cercueil. La plaque de cuivre fixée sur les lambris du choeur serait la traduction de l'épitaphe du monument funéraire.
